It’s actually amazing to think that in early November – just a few short weeks from now – that it will already be one year ago exactly when the then one-of-a-kind Loupedeck console prototype made its public debut via the crowdfunding website, Indiegogo. At the time, none of the small team that had worked so hard to get the 3rd-gen prototype to that stage of development really knew how well the product was going to be received when it launched on Indiegogo. But their minds were put at rest within the first 24-hours of the month-long campaign. It was immediately evident that there was huge interest in the console. And, so it began.
The console hit global markets in July and sales have been strong since then. However, this success so far now represents only part of the story. For as the past arrives at the present, and then to the near-future, ambitious plans are currently underway to begin the process of researching, analysing and conceptualising, with the view to developing potential new products.
We have had an extraordinary year so far in 2017, and now is the time for us to move onto the next chapter.
Not to reveal too much information at this very early stage, but suffice to say that the company is not planning to stay a one-product company, as it moves forward with the development of possible new consoles that can be adopted to other formats, like video-editing, for example, or consoles dedicated to other post-processing software types too.
But for this to happen, the company needs to recruit some exceptional new talent, with the aim of building an in-house R&D team in order to ramp-up development of the various new projects currently being considered.
Says Mikko Kesti, the founder and CEO of Loupedeck, “We have had an extraordinary year so far in 2017, and now is the time for us to move onto the next chapter. For six talented individuals, here is the chance to become part of a unique story from the very start. We want to offer you the possibility to work in an industry that boasts creativity at its very core, and we are looking for people who wish to combine their passion for the tech and creative industry with a professional career. We are seeking ambitious growth in the next few years, as well as a wider portfolio of products, and to make this a reality, we need some amazing people to help us achieve this.”
Loupedeck is now searching for six highly-skilled individuals to join the team; a product program manager, an Adobe CC plugin developer, a firmware developer, a mechanical designer, a Windows OS software developer, and an Apple OSX software developer. Due to the ambitious growth expansion mentioned above, and the recruitment drive that accompanies it, Loupedeck, the company, will be moving to larger headquarters, located in the centre of Helsinki, at the beginning of 2018. Exciting times!
