2020 is almost over! To wrap up this year we are releasing a new update, Loupedeck Software v4.2, which is packed with many requested updates, features, and fixes.
2020 was quite the year for everyone, including the Loupedeck team! While Loupedeck shifted to complete remote work in March, we successfully released our newest product, Loupedeck Live, The Power Console for Streamers and Content Creators.
Big shout-out to the Loupedeck Community for your feedback and support, and for assisting in the on-going development of Loupedeck editing consoles!
Loupedeck CT and Loupedeck Live consoles both support context-awareness, which provides a seamless experience for creative work. However, in different circumstances like live-streaming, context-awareness may not always be helpful.
With software v.4.2, users will now be able to toggle context awareness (Dynamic Mode) on or off. This means, Loupedeck will remain in the selected profile within the software and will not change when switching between applications.
Deactivating the Dynamic Mode also allows you to see changes you are making to an application profile in real-time on the console.
For example, if you wish to make changes to your Photoshop Profile, simply turn off Dynamic Mode and select the Profile, the console will then display the selected profile and the changes you are making in real-time. Once the changes are complete, turn on Dynamic Mode and your Loupedeck will adapt to the currently open application.
Midi control, one of our most requested features, is finally here! Loupedeck CT and Loupedeck Live users can now expand the functionality of their consoles even more.
Now you have the power to use your custom console as a midi controller, and easily map any midi command anywhere on your console, as well as multiple parameters simultaneously to the same command. This means you can play notes, drum pads, use midi to control channels, clips, and instrument/effect parameters in the music software of your choice, for example, or send on/off signals and control volume.
Midi control is currently optimized for use with Ableton Live but it can also be used with any audio software that supports midi mapping, such as Cubase, FL Studio, Sonar, Reason, etc… The usability of the midi feature will continue to increase and improve in future updates.
In Software v4.2, we’ve also included a major update to the Premiere Pro experience across all Loupedeck consoles, which includes Loupedeck CT, Loupedeck Live, Loupedeck+, and Loupedeck Originals.
Motion, Opacity and Crop Effect Adjustments are now available! This means Loupedeck users can now, adjust the Position and Anchor Points X + Y, Scale & Rotate clips, change the Opacity and Blend Mode, crop into the picture from all directions and adjust the Crop Feather value.
Each adjustment has a Reset option bound to their press function, so pressing the dial with an Effect Adjustment assigned, instantly resets the value to its default value. When a keyframe is set to an effect and you can easily move along in your timeline, rotating a dial automatically sets another keyframe to the location of play-head. You can now quickly switch between keyframes and quickly adjust your effect values with a dial.
The new effect adjustments are readily assigned to Loupedeck’s default profiles, but of course you can assign them elsewhere if you prefer.
There are many enhancements and new features already planned for the New Year, but we’re also counting on your feedback, to be able to provide you with the best possible experience with our consoles!
We wish all our customers happy, healthy holidays and a fantastic start into a productive new year.
